The context of the word Kampfzeit can be traced back to the turbulent years of the Weimar Republic. The term was mostly used by the NSDAP to commemorate the partys years of struggle, before the machtübernahme in January 1933.
This site is strictly non-political, but a historical archive for knowledge about the period, through the original documents, photos, badges and such.
The Kampfzeit Archive
The Kampfzeit Archive offers an unique insight in rare items from the era. The items showcased on this website is the property of the site owners, some of them cannot be seen or found anywhere else.
Apart from the archive, we also write historical articles and host a discussion forum that focuses on the time period of this website, but also more general topics of militaria and history in general.
Become a member at the Kampfzeit forum here. The membership is completely free and is also used to read articles and fully access all the contents in the archives.
